Christmas Gifts
My wonderful sister gave me my other favorite Christmas present - 1st edition Little House books!!! Farmer Boy and Plum Creek in 1st edition, and the four later books in 1950s editions. Yay, Melilot! You're my favorite sister!!!

that's quite alright. did you know that sewell only illustrated books 1-4 by herself, then did 5-7 with another artist, and never did book 8? i just learned that.
how come did not she do 8?
i was going to guess that she was too old, but she was in her early 40s. so i don't know.

Hahaha...All I have in my closet are clothes that don't fit anymore. Think hs would like that for her birthday?
i'll take some new (to me) clothes :)
and, lest mel is panicking thinking that she just gave me a few thousand dollars, we did some research and found that they're not actually first edition. for some reason, although they were printed in 1950, it just gives the initial publishing date. could that be because they've never actually been out of print?
