Love and Respect

I try not to say too much regarding marriage, in deference to my single readers. However, sometimes there are things that just need to be said.
I'm not big on self-help type books or seminars or counseling or any of those types of things. That being said, I want to loudly promote "Love & Respect" by Emerson Eggerich. The main idea is this - that God commanded husbands to love their wives, and He commanded wives to respect their husbands. Why did He do this? Because women need love, and it's not natural for men to give it; and men need respect, which doesn't come naturally for women. It sounds so amazingly simple and obvious, and yet so many of us are missing the boat. And "L & R" is packed, packed, packed with Scripture that backs this up.
If you're married, run and get this book. Jump at the next chance you get to hear this guy or watch his DVD. And if you're not married yet, guess what I'm giving you for a wedding gift when the time comes...
