My pastor, his wife, and I were talking about the movie Amazing Grace (you should see it). I mentioned that I liked that William Wilberforce thought God was calling him to the ministry, when actually God was calling him to Parliament. My pastor said, "He was being called to the ministry - just not to the pulpit. We are all called to minister."Labels: deep thoughts

(& I plan to see it, but I'm waiting for it to be available at Red Box so it only costs me a dollar to rent:)
that's like when slip aunt and uncle handy-man thought they were being called to the mission field. but then their house wouldn't sell, and other things came up, and now they do full-time foster care, which is definitely their mission field.
