Movie Review: The Muppet Movie

Every once in a while, you should watch a movie for no reason other than that it's fun. Jim Henson was a genius, and this movie proves it. He understood that entertainment should be entertaining.
Another reason this movie is great is because when we were kids, my cousin Jar Jar had a lime green sweatshirt, and he'd wear it while he rode the old bike up at our grandpa's cabin. He reminded us very much of Kermit, and we found that highly amusing.
And how on earth could I have left Miss Piggy's love song off my list of most romantic movie moments? Her rendition of "Never Before and Never Again" is heartfelt, to say the least. If anyone ever comes across a video clip of Frank Oz singing this (and his cohorts watching him), I would love to see it.

it is a great movie. i either quote, sing, or think things from it quite frequently, actually. 'never before' is one of the greatest songs of all time. and it is performed oh so well. and of course, one line i quote quite often (either in or out of my head) is the classic, 'frankly, miss piggy, i don't give a hoot.'
i'm actually not sure if i've seen this! i've seen muppets take manhattan (which i liked) & another muppet movie or 2 but not sure if it was this one! (guess i better rent it;)
the older ones (muppet movie, great muppet caper, muppets take manhattan) were made in the jim henson years and are much better than the newer ones.
muppet Christmas carol was good, too (rizzo gets his bag of jellybeans. gonzo: you're such an idiot! rizzo: what?)
