Mr. Feeny's Wisdom
Mr. Feeny told the English teacher (Mr. Turner?) that he shouldn't try to reach the students at their level. "If we speak to them at their level, they will never aspire to anything higher."
Mr. Feeny, you are a brilliant, brilliant man!

remind me to tolkien that sometime
what does "tolkien that" mean?
you know who else is wise? dumbledore :D
blog it as a 'concerning tolkien.' he had things to say about that.
about not speaking to students at their level?
we've always said that the kids in our family are smart because we don't talk down to them.
but then there are some kids that i have to a little bit (some of my students)... but yeah, i'm always impressed when i realize kids are surprisingly smarter and cleverer and wittier than i'd have thought (one of the reasons i love your stories, hobbitsister!:), so mr. feeny's right for the most part :)
but your kids are a different story
my kids are funny.
yes they are :)
