Fear Factor - Sunday School Version

My youth group kids (5-8 grade) are having a "Fear Factor" day, where they're going to play gross games and all that. When I mentioned this to them, the one boy said, "Cool - can we do a zip line across the Mississippi River?" All the girls said, "Gross! I refuse to eat any bugs or body parts whatsoever!" Scout told me she would absolutely not eat grasshoppers, which got me to thinking - John the Baptist ate locusts and wild honey. We could do this as a Bible theme and get all of our ideas from Bible stories (the Bible has some pretty nasty stuff in there). I dropped the idea when my husband said, "Sure - one of the kids could be Shadrach, and stand in the middle of a fire."
