Science Fair

Erma has to do a science project. She wants to blow something up (chemical reactions), but there aren't a lot of books with ideas that encourage that. Baking soda in a ketchup bottle is a great project (don't do it inside!), but we've been there, done that. Any ideas?

Have you tried the mentos/diet coke thing??? It is super cool, but I'm not sure if its what you are looking for.

NO NO NO!!! Do not drop mentos into diet coke! Go outside where you have a lot (and I do mean a lot) of room. Take a 2 liter of diet coke and a package of mint mentos. (It worked better when you could get them in the tubes, so roll them up in a piece of paper like the old packaging was, but loosely.) Open coke and add the mentos as quickly as you can. Wear old clothes and stand back...it makes a geyser! You can do a google search for mentos and diet coke and find videos of people who have tried it.
