Grocery Shopping

Does anyone else think it's a sad statement on society that our grocery stores stock 75 different kinds/brands of peanut butter, an entire aisle full of different types of bread, enough shampoos & conditioners to confuse busymommy (and the rest of us), shelves and shelves of cake mixes....
Really, it's all rather ridiculous when you think about it.

What bothers me is that everyone is going on and on about America's obesity problem and yet things that are healthy to eat cost 2-3 times as much as junk food does. That and the shampoo thing...

why is that? organic produce is way more expensive (kind of like they say you should buy recycled paper, and yet it costs a lot more)
but when i'm standing in the store, looking at dozens of kinds of macaroni and cheese, i think this is ridiculous.
